Lorena Garcia
Chef Lorena Garcia kicked off our Expo Dubai programming, accompanied by Chef Sam Edwards. Chef Lorena shared her love of Latin American cuisine and Miami-inspired dishes with the global visitors at the Expo. She performed a live cooking demonstration at the open-air Citi Rocket Stage at the USA Pavilion, and spoke about her journey as a chef, the inspiration behind her cuisine and the importance of focusing on our sustainability goals in global food production.
Chef Lorena also spent time at ICCA culinary school sharing one of her favorite recipes with the students, as well as providing valuable advice as they get ready to enter the workforce. She also prepared a meal at the USA Pavilion for guests of the Commissioner General, where she showcased her cuisine and incorporated some great U.S. food products, in collaboration with the U.S. Foreign Agriculture Service.
