CDP partnered with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Algeria to send Chef Rock Harper to Algeria to participate in the Algiers International Trade Fair that attracted thousands of people from across the country. At the fair, Chef Rock participated in speaking engagements and cooking demonstrations.

During the week, he worked with local chefs and restaurants that feature American food, sharing with them his recipes and regional American cuisine. He also engaged with culinary students, teaching them some of his favorite dishes, while also learning about Algerian culture and cuisine from the students when they prepared a traditional lunch.
